Tesser

Pattern studio

Design a tileable pattern, watch it repeat live

Tesser is a browser studio for makers, indie designers, and print-on-demand sellers who need a genuinely repeatable pattern. Pick a lattice, set the palette, tune the density, and the canvas tiles it edge to edge as you work, so you see the true repeat instead of guessing where the seam will fall. No account, nothing uploaded, and every pattern you make is yours to use.

  1. Three real lattices

Square, hex, and running-bond brick, generated from actual repeat math, so the tile wraps cleanly at every edge rather than approximating it.

  2. Palettes that hold together

Choose one base color and a harmony (complementary, analogous, or triadic); every motif is drawn from that set, so the result stays coherent.

  3. Reproducible by seed

Every pattern carries a seed. Note it down and the exact same tile comes back later; hit Randomize to jump to a fresh one.

  4. Export what you need

Free PNG at preview size. The Pro Pack adds print-DPI PNG, an editable SVG, and a zipped web plus print plus SVG bundle in one download.

How to use it

  1. Choose a lattice under Geometry.
  2. Drag tile size, rotation, and jitter to shape the repeat.
  3. Set a base color and harmony under Palette.
  4. Set the seed by hand, or hit Randomize.
  5. Export a PNG for free, or add the Pro Pack for hi-res and vector.

Questions

Do the patterns really tile without a seam?
Yes. Tesser places motifs on a true repeat lattice and wraps them at the tile edge, so the exported file repeats with no visible join.
Do I need an account?
No. Tesser runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and your Pro Pack purchase is remembered locally on your device.
What comes with the Pro Pack?
A one-time purchase: print-DPI PNG export, resolution-independent SVG, a zipped tile bundle, and a downloadable pack of ready-made 4K tiles.
Can I use the patterns commercially?
Yes. Patterns you make are yours for personal and commercial work.
